Greg Kestin has been working with other staff of Harvard's wildly popular Science and Cooking class to create innovative educational videos as a supplement to lecture.
These entertaining videos include animations, simulations, and walkthroughs of calculations. The idea is to capture one concept in each of these several minute-long videos, in order to keep material organized and compelling! Such videos can free the lecturers from doing calculations on the board, and focus on important conceptual material. Also, students will be able to learn what they want, when they want, as quickly as they want! These videos also address review and advanced topics, and students can request that a certain topic be covered.
Videos are posted on the course website. Examples are available here and here.
