    The Blank Syllabus

    In "The Blank Syllabus" activity, the instructor leaves assigned readings blank for some of the class sessions. The second writing assignment requires students to choose a reading from the course anthology--a reading that is then assigned to the class, thus filling in the blanks on the syllabus.     Minute Physics Videos

    Emily Russell designed this for Physics 95: Topics in Current Research aimed towards junior and senior concentrators in Physics.  Students were encouraged to develop their skills in explaining complicated physics topics in layman’s terms through a short video presentation. This project incorporates public speaking skills and video technology like Final Cut Pro.

    Peer-to-Peer Outline Feedback

    Overview: In this activity, students read each other's outlines on their final course paper and then met in small groups to give each other constructive feedback.
