Portuguese Song Fill-In-the-Blank

During this activity, students build listening comprehension and cultural knowledge through Portuguese-language music.

Students are given a handout with song lyrics and blank spaces for words that pertain to specific vocabulary or verb forms that are related to the course content.  Students listen to the song a few times and attempt to fill in the blanks.  In between plays, students discuss as a class what they wrote in.  They also ask any questions pertaining to the meaning of any phrases or vocabulary.  After filling out all the spaces, the class discusses the meaning of the song.
